Hello, My name is Julie Loke and I've lived in Davis since 2008. I was drawn to the area because of it's wonderful organic farming scene. I lived and worked on a small hobby farm, out on County Rd 95., after attending culinary school. I've always worked with my hands and massage has been a natural transition. I worked at the Davis Food Co-op for 10 years- teaching cooking classes to little ones and adults and eventually worked my way up to management.
Working in fast-paced kitchens, being a high school athlete, the manual labor of farming and the stressful grind of grocery life have made me a believer in the power of massage! I've gone through various injuries (shoulder impingement, sprains and strains), chronic pain (sciatica and TMJ), as well as managing anxiety and stress related issues, which massage and energy work have either eliminated or greatly helped. I enjoy working with clients with similar issues to find various techniques and modalities to help the mind and body find ease.
Along with cooking and farming, I enjoy yoga, hiking, biking, meditation, tennis, dance, cohousing and spending quality time with my partner, Morgan.
